In Santa Catarina, a court ordered a transport company and a driver to pay a lifetime pension and R$ 40,000 in damages to a truck driver. The driver was permanently incapacitated following a 2023 collision on the BR-116 highway in Bahia, where a vehicle reportedly invaded the opposite lane. The victim suffered severe neurological impairment and a loss of approximately 80% of his working capacity.

In a separate matter in Salvador, Bahia, a settlement of R$ 19,276.56 was approved for the heirs of a man who died following a 2013 accident involving a permanent disability from an ankle fracture. This settlement was part of a judicial effort to accelerate DPVAT insurance proceedings.
