The Brazilian heavy metal band Angra underwent a period of reorganization following a hiatus that began in August 2025. Bassist Felipe Andreoli stated the break was intended to address internal tensions and maintain a relationship with vocalist Fabio Lione. However, these efforts failed, leading to Lione’s departure in April 2026 and the appointment of Alírio Netto as the new vocalist.

Following these lineup changes, the band addressed a separate controversy involving political comments made by former members. After social media disputes arose regarding a politician wearing band merchandise, Angra issued a formal statement clarifying that the opinions expressed by former members are “strictly personal” and do not represent the current group or its members.
