Public figures in Brazil have expressed support for Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, citing various personal and ideological reasons.

Paulinho, a striker for the football club Palmeiras, declared his support by highlighting the impact of social welfare programs like Bolsa Família and Minha Casa, Minha Vida on his family. He stated that his stance is about “recognizing our history, valuing those who come from below and defending a Brazil that gives opportunity to those who are still starting.”

Following this, Bruno Fonseca, a former coordinator of the Liberal Party (PL) Youth in São Paulo, announced a political shift toward Lula. Fonseca, who previously supported Jair Bolsonaro, cited disagreements with the far-right movement regarding labor rights, violence against women, and LGBTQIA+ rights as the drivers for his change in political alignment.
