Recent data from Paraguay and Nicaragua indicate a downward trend in breast cancer fatalities.

In Paraguay, the Ministry of Public Health reported an 18.3% reduction in deaths between 2020 and 2025, with the national mortality rate falling from 16 to 12.6 deaths per 100,000 women. The highest concentration of deaths was noted in the Central department, while the highest mortality rates occurred in Misiones and Paraguarí.

Nicaragua reported a 12% decrease in fatalities, with deaths falling from 199 in the first nine months of 2025 to 175 during the same period in 2026.
