The football rivalry in Brno reached a milestone as Artis Brno and Zbrojovka Brno prepared for their first top-flight derby in 90 years. Artis Brno, which has disrupted the long-standing local monopoly held by Zbrojovka, entered the match following significant restructuring and the acquisition of nineteen new players.

In the derby match held at the ShipEx Arena, Zbrojovka Brno secured a victory against Artis. The match featured a VAR intervention that overturned an early goal by Artis due to offside. Despite notable saves from 18-year-old Artis goalkeeper Richard Kašík, Artis conceded two goals. Zbrojovka Brno, led by coach Martin Svědík, maintained their strong season start, holding third place in the standings.
