A Broadway revival of the musical ‘Damn Yankees’ has been announced, marking the show’s first such production in over 30 years. The production features Julianne Hough in the role of Lola, Neil Patrick Harris as Mr. Applegate, and Austin Scott as Joe Hardy.

This updated adaptation, which moves the setting to the early 2000s, follows a baseball fan making a high-stakes deal to restore the Baltimore Orioles to glory. The production is partnered with Major League Baseball and MLB Studios, featuring a book by Will Power and Doug Wright, with direction and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

Following an out-of-town run at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., the musical will move to the Marquis Theatre in New York. Previews are scheduled to begin on March 24, 2027, with the official opening set for April 20, 2027.
