Reports from Turkey indicate increasing instances of brown bears descending from their natural habitats into residential areas, often in search of food.

In the Çaykara district of Trabzon, residents successfully rescued a brown bear that had become trapped between rocks in a stream after falling from a steep slope. Local citizens used a tarp to lift the unconscious animal to safety, after which it was handed over to the Nature Conservation and National Parks Branch Directorate for medical treatment.

In the Sarıkamış district of Kars, a brown bear entered a residential courtyard and spent the night foraging. During the encounter, a resident was forced to remain trapped inside their vehicle to avoid a direct confrontation with the animal.
