The Bucharest Metropolitan Library, in partnership with the General Directorate of Social Assistance of Bucharest Municipality, is launching a book titled ‘Memorii în Cuvinte’ (Memories in Words) on October 1, 2026.

The volume is a collection of life stories, memories, and experiences shared by senior citizens in Bucharest. This initiative is part of the ‘Literature Without Age’ program, which began in 2024. The launch event, held at deGalben in Piața Amzei to coincide with International Day of Older Persons, will provide participating seniors with copies of the book and feature the presentation of the 2026 edition of ‘Literatorul’, a publication focused on contemporary literature.
