The Sector 6 City Hall in Bucharest has inaugurated a new section of Phase III of Parcul Liniei, covering the stretch between Lujerului and Moinești. The project, which began in July 2025, spans approximately 3 kilometers along a former railway line and covers 81,500 square meters.

Following the scheduled opening on August 29 and 30, 2026, the area is now open to the public. The park features amenities such as basketball and volleyball courts, a skatepark, a calisthenics zone, a bicycle track, walking paths, and a dry deck fountain. Notable additions include a light tunnel and an exhibition area dedicated to the history of the Romanian Railways (CFR).

To celebrate the opening, the administration organized community activities including creative workshops for children, face painting, interactive shows, and a ‘Cinema under the Stars’ event. Future development plans for the park involve extending it toward Valea Cascadelor.
