The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams are preparing for a Week 5 Monday Night Football matchup at SoFi Stadium on Monday, October 12. The contest is highlighted as a potential Super Bowl preview, featuring a high-profile quarterback duel between Buffalo’s Josh Allen and the Rams’ Matthew Stafford.

Following a 29-26 loss to the New England Patriots, the Bills enter the game with a 3-1 record but face significant roster challenges. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver and wide receiver Joshua Palmer have been ruled out. While wide receiver DJ Moore was previously ruled out due to an “aggravated shoulder injury,” he is now listed as questionable. Other players listed as questionable include cornerback Dee Alford and defensive lineman Landon Jackson.

The Rams enter the contest with a 2-2 record. Defensive end Aaron Donald has been cleared to return from a back injury after participating fully in practice. Other expected returnees include tight end Colby Parkinson and cornerback Jaylen Watson, though safety Quentin Lake remains questionable due to a hip injury. Head coach Sean McVay noted that defensive end Myles Garrett is progressing from knee surgery but is unlikely to return for this matchup.

Betting analysts have noted significant interest in the matchup. While there has been a higher volume of tickets for Buffalo, betting markets show the Rams as home favorites, with recent lines indicating the Rams are favored by 3.5 points. The game is expected to be a high-scoring affair, with total points projected around 54.5.
