Following a 2-0 victory over Luxembourg in the Nations League, Bulgarian midfielder Adrian Kraev criticized the tactical approach of former coach Aleksandar Dimitrov, alleging the team previously lacked structure and relied on physical aggression. Kraev noted that performance has improved under interim coach Atanas Ribarski, who has introduced fresh ideas and better analysis.

In a subsequent discussion on a Bulgarian Football Union podcast, Ribarski reflected on his professional development and the mentors who influenced his coaching career. He specifically credited the late Ferario Spasov for teaching him the importance of team microclimate and locker room dynamics.
