The Bulgarian national karate team has departed for the World Cadet, Junior, and U21 Karate Championships in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. The delegation consists of 22 competitors, including several European champions and world-ranked athletes.

The Bulgarian National Karate Federation reported that the team is traveling without financial support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The federation noted that this lack of funding has persisted through previous European championships and training preparations, stating that participation is being made possible solely through the efforts of the federation, local clubs, and parents who are self-funding their children’s involvement.
