During EuroVolley 2026, the Bulgarian men’s national volleyball team experienced mixed results, including a 1:3 loss to Ukraine in a Group B match in Sofia. Despite a high-scoring performance by Aleksandar Nikolov, coach Gianlorenzo Blengini cited issues with consistency in service and reception.

By late September, Bulgarian national volleyball teams achieved significant milestones. Both the women’s and men’s teams secured qualifications for the 2027 World Championship.
