Following the inaugural ‘Nuit de la Révolution progressiste populaire’ (RPP) on September 30, 2026, Burkina Faso continued observing the fourth anniversary of Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s rise to power through various commemorative events and training initiatives.

In the Oudalan region, specifically in Gorom-Gorom, citizens gathered at the Place de la Nation to celebrate the revolution's achievements, with local officials and military leaders paying tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). In the Yaadga region, Governor Thomas Yampa presided over ceremonies in Ouahigouya that featured cultural performances and a broadcast of a message from the Head of State, delivered by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.

In Ouagadougou, the celebrations included the conclusion of a training program for 153 ‘messengers’. This group, composed of students, deputies, and artists, was trained on the official RPP Manifesto to propagate the values and vision of the revolution across different social strata throughout the country.
