Płock is experiencing a surge in vandalism targeting public infrastructure, specifically bus shelters. According to the Płock City Hall press office, twelve shelters have been damaged since the beginning of the year, with nine incidents occurring between June and September.

Commonly targeted items include side windows and timetable display cases. The specialized 8mm patterned glass used for these shelters is expensive, costing approximately 2,800 PLN per large pane. The most significant single repair cost reached nearly 9,500 PLN following damage to a shelter on Al. Jachowicza.

Total repair costs for the year have approached 39,000 PLN. The city is utilizing municipal and shelter-mounted surveillance footage to assist police in identifying perpetrators.
