The Ministry of Development has introduced a legislative proposal to extend the operating periods for legally existing businesses within the Aigio Municipal Unit of the Aigialeia Municipality. 

Under this regulation, businesses may continue operations until the publication of the relevant Local Urban Plan, with a final deadline of December 31, 2027. To qualify, enterprises must not cause environmental or residential disturbances, a condition subject to a decision by the Municipal Council. Aigialeia Mayor Panagiotis Andriopoulos characterized the move as a significant step for the local economy and job preservation, noting cooperation between local authorities and the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
