At the 81st United Nations General Assembly, Francisco Carvalho introduced the national vision ‘Um Cabo Verde para Todos’ (A Cabo Verde for All), which seeks to foster inclusion and position the nation as a bridge between Africa and the rest of the world. This strategy specifically emphasizes the importance of the Cabo Verdean Diaspora as vital economic and cultural capital. Building on this diplomatic momentum, the country has participated in high-level global economic forums, including the IMF and World Bank meetings in Bangkok, to address issues such as public debt and the impact of artificial intelligence. Additionally, Cabo Verde has hosted international sectoral events, such as the Globus Network 2026 International Conference in Praia, to strengthen its external projection and attract global partners. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-12: Cabo Verde engages in IMF meetings and hosts international insurance summit Cabo Verde is boosting its international presence by participating in the IMF and World Bank meetings and hosting a major international insurance conference in Praia. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/cabo-verde-engages-in-imf-meetings-and-hosts-international-insurance-summit ### 2026-10-06: Cabo Verde outlines national vision for inclusion and global integration Francisco Carvalho presented the ‘Cabo Verde para Todos’ vision at the UN, focusing on national inclusion, African integration, and leveraging the Diaspora and the country's upcoming leadership of the Small Is. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/cabo-verde-outlines-national-vision-for-inclusion-and-global-integration --- Cite as: Cabo Verde international engagement and integration.
