Cadi Antincendi Futura is preparing for the upcoming Serie A2 Elite season, entering the campaign with the goal of securing promotion to Serie A.

In preseason preparation, the team secured a 5-1 victory in a friendly match against Sporting Club Sala Consilina. Following this performance, players and staff have emphasized the intensity of their training under coach Rocha and trainer Andrea Siclari. Player Simone Minnella noted the squad is prepared for a highly competitive league, while Domenico Turiano, following success with the Under 17 national team, expressed a desire for more first-team playing time. The club also aims to build on the momentum of its youth academy, which saw its Under 17 squad reach the Italian national finals last year.

Following their scheduled season opener against Formia on September 19, the Reggio Calabria-based team faced Sulmona, resulting in a 5-2 defeat. Although Michele Iervolino managed to equalize for Futura with a header, Sulmona secured the win with a three-goal surge in the second half. This outcome marked the club’s second consecutive loss.

On September 26, Futura secured their first points of the season with a 2-2 draw against league leaders Cosenza in Rende. After Salamone gave Cosenza an early lead, Futura fought back to level the score. The match featured a family connection between Futura defender Paolo Parisi and Cosenza goalkeeper Gianluca Parisi. Coach Sylvio Rocha expressed satisfaction with the team’s tactical growth and competitive spirit, noting that the group is steadily improving as they prepare for their upcoming match against Lazio.
