CaixaBank has expanded its financial support for the Spanish hospitality and tourism sectors through specialized divisions. In the first half of 2026, the bank’s Hotels & Tourism division provided over 2,500 million euros in financing via more than 2,300 credit operations, a 1.2% increase from the previous year. This funding, concentrated in regions such as the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Madrid, Catalonia, and Andalusia, was used for renovations, asset acquisition, and sustainability.

Simultaneously, the bank’s Food&Drinks vertical reached a milestone of over 116,000 establishments five years after its 2021 launch. The division has facilitated more than 100,000 operations totaling over 2.5 billion euros, seeing a 30% increase in its client base since its inception. This growth has resulted in 35% of the turnover from these businesses being channeled through the bank.
