Cameo Resources has initiated a drilling program at the Katoro gold project within Tanzania’s Lake Victoria Goldfield. 

Initial preparations involved using advanced drone geophysics to identify 80 high-priority drilling targets and five specific zones showing massive sulfide signatures. Rock samples from the area indicated gold grades as high as 238 g/t. The project is located less than 14 kilometers from the producing Buckreef Mine. 

Following these geological assessments, the company has officially commenced its first drilling phase, which is fully funded and focuses on testing the initial target zones within the Sukumaland Belt.
