Canal+ is expanding its digital and streaming offerings through new subscription models and specialized platforms.

In Mauritius, the company launched an ‘App Only’ subscription model for the 2026-2027 season. This service allows users to access content via smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, or computers without requiring a physical decoder or installation. The lineup includes original productions and programming from partners such as Netflix, HBO, and CINE+/OCS, covering cinema, series, sports, and Bollywood content.

Following this, Group CEO Maxime Saada announced the launch of SPORT+, a free digital platform dedicated to sports. The service is accessible to both subscribers and non-subscribers and features content from nine major competitions, including the Champions League, Premier League, and Formula 1. The platform includes features such as live broadcasts, highlights, and a ‘Multi-live’ system for viewing multiple matches simultaneously. While free, the service includes advertisements and promotional links to paid Canal+ offers.

In its official launch, the SPORT+ platform was integrated into the Canal+ application. Designed to attract non-subscribers, the service provides access to highlights, short-form vertical videos, and select live events. Key competitions include the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Premier League, Arkema Première Ligue, Formula 1, MotoGP, Top 14, and Pro D2 rugby.

A notable feature is the ‘Multi-Live’ mode, which allows users to follow multiple matches simultaneously via a grid of vignettes, though full-screen viewing is reserved for paying subscribers. Group Sports Director Thomas Sénécal described the initiative as a way to engage fans and serve as an entry point to premium offerings. The service’s debut included coverage of the Singapore Grand Prix.
