Major luxury resorts in Cancún have completed extensive renovations and officially reopened to the public. 

Meliá Hotels International inaugurated a new wellness-focused era at the Paradisus Cancún following a 50 million euro transformation. The resort introduced a ‘Wellness Designed by Destination’ philosophy, which integrates Mayan and Mexican culture into guest experiences through specialized spaces like the Longevity Suite. The project has impacted the local economy by rehiring over 63% of previous staff and creating more than 650 indirect jobs.

Concurrently, the Hyatt Zilara Cancún reopened after a comprehensive transformation of its 310 luxury suites. The updates include contemporary designs inspired by the local environment, redesigned pool and beach areas, and new culinary concepts. The property also introduced ‘Bokeh’, a speakeasy-style lounge, and a restructured Zen Spa.
