Law enforcement operations in Romania have resulted in several arrests related to cannabis trafficking.

In early September, police in Bihor County arrested three men, aged 21 to 25, in Nojorid. Authorities seized over five kilograms of cannabis intended for commercial sale. The suspects were placed under 30-day preventive arrest following an investigation by the Oradea Organized Crime Combatting Brigade and DIICOT prosecutors.

In early October, authorities in Gorj detained two 24-year-old men. Investigators allege the suspects used their positions as waiters and bartenders at private events to sell cannabis, specifically targeting students in Timișoara. During the operation, police seized approximately 250 grams of cannabis, crystalline substances, scales, and various currencies. Prosecutors have also requested 30-day preventive arrests for these individuals.
