In Naples, General Luongo met with the family of Appuntato Antonio Roberto Centonze to express the institution’s support following the officer’s death from illness. This period also saw a leadership transition at the Ogaden Interregional Carabinieri Command, where General Rosario Castello succeeded General Massimo Masciulli. Later, General Luongo visited the Comunità Incontro in Amelia during a training session for 200 Carabinieri trainees. This visit is part of an ongoing collaboration since 2023 aimed at providing trainees with firsthand accounts of addiction recovery. During the event, General Luongo emphasized that the uniform should represent “social reassurance and listening to citizens,” particularly in difficult circumstances such as addiction. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-30: Carabinieri General Salvatore Luongo visits Comunità Incontro in Amelia Carabinieri General Salvatore Luongo visited the Comunità Incontro in Amelia to engage with addiction recovery patients and trainees, emphasizing the importance of social support and listening to citizens. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/carabinieri-general-salvatore-luongo-visits-comunit-incontro-in-amelia ### 2026-09-10: Carabinieri General Luongo meets family of deceased officer in Naples Carabinieri General Salvatore Luongo met with the family of deceased officer Antonio Roberto Centonze in Naples during a command handover from General Massimo Masciulli to General Rosario Castello. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/carabinieri-general-luongo-meets-family-of-deceased-officer-in-naples --- Cite as: Carabinieri institutional activities and leadership.
