Additional local honors include Bassano in Teverina, where the city council approved naming an area ‘Largo Salvo D’Acquisto e Caduti dell’Arma dei Carabinieri’, with a plaque unveiling scheduled for September 28. In Porto Torres, a ceremony is set for September 24 to mark the 60th anniversary of the death of Salvatore Cabitta, a member of the Guardia di Finanza killed by terrorists in 1966.
