American rapper Cardi B canceled her scheduled debut performance at the BZR WKND festival in Kingston, Jamaica, originally set for October 18 at the National Stadium. In a video message, the artist stated that the cancellation was due to unresolved arrangements and contractual restrictions that were “beyond her control.”

Cardi B addressed social media speculation regarding low ticket sales, asserting that more than 18,000 tickets had been sold and that the decision was not related to demand. While fans have expressed frustration, BZR WKND management initially asked for patience.

Following the withdrawal, organizers announced that the marquee concert has been postponed to December 20, 2026. Management cited “circumstances beyond our control” for the delay and expressed condolences to Cardi B following the recent passing of a loved one, though they did not explicitly confirm if the bereavement caused the withdrawal.

Organizers stated that the additional time will be used to develop a larger production for the Caribbean audience. Previously purchased tickets remain valid for the new December date, but patrons unable to attend may request refunds by contacting the event team via email. It remains unconfirmed whether Cardi B will perform on the rescheduled date or if a new international headliner will be announced.
