Deathcore band Carnifex has announced their tenth studio album, titled ‘More Than Misery’, which is scheduled for release on November 6 via Sumerian Records. The announcement included the release of the title track and a music video.

Vocalist Scott Ian Lewis described the lyrical themes as an exploration of how suffering can fundamentally change a person, stating, ‘This is Carnifex at our most honest and unapologetically brutal’. Further details noted that the album explores the aftermath of survival, with Lewis remarking, ‘More Than Misery is about what happens when suffering becomes more than something you endure, it becomes what changes you.’

Produced by Whitechapel guitarist Zach Householder and mixed by Jeff Dunne, the album aims to blend the band’s earlier directness with recent symphonic and death metal influences. The release is accompanied by plans for the All Shall Perish ‘The Price Of Existence’ 20th anniversary tour, alongside European and UK dates.
