Developments: 2. Following a difficult start to the season, Carrarese underwent a change in technical leadership. Initially, the club considered several candidates, including Luca D’Angelo and Matteo Andreoletti, to replace manager Gabriele Cioffi as his position became uncertain. Guido Pagliuca was subsequently appointed as the new head coach. This transition followed a period where the club secured only one point in five matches and struggled offensively, recording only two goals during that span. Alongside the coaching change, the club implemented significant squad updates, including the signings of goalkeeper Nicola Ravaglia and David Vujevic, with the latter representing the club’s most expensive signing at 1.5 million euros. Defensive loans were also secured for Filippo Reale, Lorenzo Romani, and Tommaso Macchioni. Ahead of an upcoming match against Padova, Padova coach Antonio Calabro noted that while he respects Pagliuca’s abilities, the managerial change introduces “tactical uncertainty” for the opposition. Calabro also confirmed that player Artistico is expected to return to the starting lineup. The club’s primary objective remains consolidating its position in the league. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-09: Carrarese appoints Guido Pagliuca as new head coach Guido Pagliuca has been appointed as the new head coach of Carrarese following a poor start to the season, as the club prepares for a match against Padova. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/guido-pagliuca-appointed-as-carrarese-head-coach ### 2026-09-25: Carrarese considers coaching change as Gabriele Cioffi's position weakens Carrarese is evaluating coaching replacements for Gabriele Cioffi.
