Following the dismissal of Vito Di Bari after a 5-2 defeat against Cavese, Casarano appointed Luciano Zauri as their new head coach. Zauri, a former player for Lazio and Fiorentina, took over the struggling side to improve their standing in the lower reaches of the table.

Shortly after, reports emerged that Di Bari was nearing an agreement to become the head coach of Salernitana, succeeding Serse Cosmi. The potential move involves Di Bari forgoing the remainder of his contract with Casarano to join the Salerno-based club through June 2027. During this transition, Giuseppe Scurto may lead Salernitana temporarily.
