Actor Harun Yildirim is departing the German RTL daily soap ‘Unter uns’ in his role as Ferhat Gülek.

Initial reports indicated the character would depart unexpectedly for Istanbul to find himself and reorganize his life, an exit that caused an emotional confrontation with character Anna Weigel.

Subsequent details clarified the narrative motivation, stating Ferhat is moving from Cologne to Istanbul to accept a lucrative construction contract for a community center. While the departure is sudden, Yildirim noted the move may be temporary, leaving the possibility open for the character to return to Schillerallee. Yildirim has portrayed the character since March 27, 2025, with the departure episode scheduled for broadcast on October 14, 2026.
