A political crisis has emerged in Castellalto following a fracture in the majority supporting Mayor Rocci. Four key administration members—including the city council president, the deputy mayor, an assessor, and a councilor—have broken away to form a new group called ‘Castellalto Bene Comune’.

Led by Lina Gramenzi, the group was established in response to what members describe as “unacceptable behaviors characterized by arrogance.” The departing officials alleged that individuals without a popular mandate are attempting to “dictate the political agenda from the shadows,” creating a communication style that favors specific individuals while obscuring the roles of elected officials.

The new group has pledged to prioritize the interests of the community and provide transparency regarding the identities of those allegedly influencing political discourse through social media.
