Preparations for the 2027 Fiestas de la Magdalena in Castellón have commenced with ceremonial and administrative milestones. In September, Nayra Luque Beltrán was officially proclaimed the Children’s Queen during the ‘Imposición de Bandas’ ceremony at the Teatro Principal, where she received a green sash from Mayor Begoña Carrasco.

By October, the Municipal Patronage of Festivals approved guidelines for various 2027 competitions, including the Festes de Castelló, Llibrets, and Carros Engalanados contests. The Llibrets competition includes prizes for sector commissions, with a new award designated for the best unpublished article regarding local people and trades, provided the work contains ‘no content generated by artificial intelligence’. Additionally, the local government is reviewing regulations for parade seating.
