The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha has implemented several administrative and financial measures for the agricultural sector. Initially, the government extended the deadline for viticulturists to request authorization for vineyard removal until November 3, 2026, to allow producers to confirm their status regarding restructuring and reconversion subsidies.

Subsequently, new regulations were established in collaboration with agricultural organizations ASAJA and UPA to balance harvesting activities with forest fire prevention. These measures increased the threshold for harvesting restrictions during high and extreme risk periods from five hectares to 20 hectares. For forest areas larger than 20 hectares, harvesters may use a 10-meter perimeter strip of uncultivated land or sunflowers to operate without restrictions.

Additionally, the regional Ministry of Agriculture has distributed significant funds from the 2026 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). In the province of Cuenca alone, over 78.7 million euros in advances were distributed to provide liquidity for basic income sustainability and eco-schemes. Total transfers across the Castilla-La Mancha region have exceeded 381.4 million euros since the start of the process.
