Educational and linguistic initiatives are being implemented across Catalonia to promote language use and social integration.

In Vilafranca del Penedès, the City Council has launched linguistic awareness workshops for approximately 200 secondary school students. Conducted by ‘Tallers per la Llengua’, these sessions aim to help students use Catalan more naturally in informal settings and address linguistic prejudices. The program includes a mentorship phase where participating students tutor younger peers.

Broadening these efforts, the Vallès Occidental Sud region is expanding Catalan welcome courses for adults. Supported by Generalitat subsidies, at least five entities will provide 17 courses across several municipalities, including Cerdanyola and Sant Cugat, to meet local demand for language integration.
