In late October 2026, the provincial government signed an agreement with Universidad Siglo 21 to establish the ‘Catamarca Potencia Talento’ program. This initiative provides 3,500 scholarships for training in technological fields, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, programming, and digital marketing. The program is designed to link education with employment through eleven different training paths. Concurrently, the Vice-Governorship has implemented vocational and professional development workshops in the Puna region. These efforts include vocational guidance for secondary school students in the Antofagasta de la Sierra department and specialized chemistry teaching workshops for primary school educators. These actions are intended to decentralize educational opportunities and support both students and teachers in the province’s interior. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-29: Catamarca Vice-Governorship conducts vocational and teacher training in Puna The Catamarca Vice-Governorship held vocational workshops for students and chemistry teaching training for educators in Antofagasta de la Sierra and El Peñón. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/catamarca-vice-governorship-conducts-vocational-and-teacher-training-in-puna ### 2026-10-22: Catamarca to provide 3,500 scholarships for technology training Catamarca has partnered with Universidad Siglo 21 to offer 3,500 scholarships in fields like AI, programming, and cybersecurity starting this December. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/catamarca-to-provide-3500-scholarships-for-technology-training --- Cite as: Catamarca educational and vocational training initiatives.
