Catholic religious communities in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have held various services to mark the start of the academic year and celebrate religious milestones.

In mid-September, parishes in Dubrovnik and Grabovica, Croatia, conducted blessings for students. In Dubrovnik, Friar Antonio Gospić encouraged youth to use the new school year for self-improvement and connection, while in Grabovica, Don Damir Pažin led ceremonies including the sacrament of reconciliation and blessings for school bags.

By October, ceremonies continued with the Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of Holy Guardian Angels celebrating their feast day in Korčula, Croatia, where several sisters made or renewed religious vows. Simultaneously, in Mostar, Bishop Petar Palić presided over a Mass at the Cathedral of Mary Mother of the Church to mark the beginning of the academic year, advising students to seek truth and serve the common good through their education.
