In the Yunusemre district of Manisa, a cattle breeder named Arif Gerçek recovered six native breed cattle that had been missing since April 5. 

After initial attempts to capture the animals using veterinarian-provided sedative injections failed, Gerçek spent months searching the mountains. Following advice from village elders, he successfully captured the animals individually using a lasso after building their trust through a two-month process of feeding them alfalfa.
