Public interest in celebrity Halloween costumes has centered on high-profile figures such as Heidi Klum, who is frequently recognized for her elaborate annual transformations.

Klum has begun teasing her 2026 costume via Instagram, sharing close-up images of intricate, slimy, and organic-looking prosthetics. The 53-year-old supermodel has described the upcoming look as “very, very bloody” and noted that it “goes very well with red wine.” These clues have led followers to speculate on various themes, including inspirations from the film “The Substance,” the series “The Last of Us,” or underwater elements like coral reefs.

As she approaches her 26th year of hosting annual Halloween celebrations, Klum’s history shows an evolution from subtle looks, such as Pippi Longstocking or Betty Boop, to increasingly transformative personas. Her strict “no costume, no entry” policy for her large-scale events has fostered a tradition of high-concept fashion. Past transformations include appearing as Lady Godiva on a horse, a giant earthworm, a hyper-realistic E.T., and a peacock accompanied by Cirque du Soleil acrobats.

Klum often collaborates with her husband, Tom Kaulitz, for her transformations. Notable recent pairings include a Medusa look with a snake tail and a Shrek-inspired Princess Fiona and Shrek duo. Other celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Kylie Jenner, have also been noted for their notable costume choices, contributing to a broader cultural discussion regarding iconic celebrity fashion and historical Halloween looks.
