In the second matchday of the 2026-2027 UEFA Europa League, Juventus secured a 2-1 comeback victory against Celta de Vigo at Balaídos. Celta de Vigo took an early lead in the 17th minute via Hugo Álvarez, following an assist from Williot Swedberg.

Juventus responded in the second half, with Nick Woltemade equalizing in the 56th minute after a defensive error by Marcos Alonso. Randal Kolo Muani clinched the win in the 87th minute with a header from an Andrea Cambiaso cross. This victory breaks a six-match winless streak against Spanish clubs in continental competitions dating back to December 2020, moving Juventus to the top of their group.

Following this success, Luciano Spalletti is preparing his squad for an upcoming Serie A match against league leaders Lazio, managed by Gennaro Gattuso. While Kolo Muani is expected to start, Spalletti has indicated he may not play both him and Woltemade simultaneously to manage tactical balance and player energy.

Regarding squad availability, Jeremie Boga has returned to training, offering a tactical option on the left wing after recovering from a thigh injury. However, the team remains without Kenan Yildiz, who is sidelined following foot surgery.
