Sources: 3. Developments: 2. Following a 2-1 Europa League defeat to Juventus, Celta de Vigo is preparing for an upcoming away fixture against Celtic in Glasgow. While the loss to Juventus saw Randal Kolo Muani secure a stoppage-time winner, the club is now managing significant squad availability issues. Forward Pablo Durán has been medically cleared to return after recovering from a calf edema, providing a boost to manager Claudio Giráldez’s attacking options. However, the squad remains depleted. Sporting Director Marco Garcés reported that player availability has dropped to approximately 86%, down from last season’s average of over 90%. Other players currently sidelined in the medical department include Borja Iglesias, Carl Starfelt, Miguel Román, and Jones El-Abdellaoui, with Álvaro Núñez also joining the injury list. Garcés characterized the Europa League as an opportunity for players to enjoy the experience despite the challenges of LaLiga, noting that the upcoming match in Glasgow will be against a high-ranking opponent. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-14: Celta de Vigo players express confidence ahead of Juventus match Former Celta de Vigo players express optimism for the team's upcoming match against Juventus, highlighting the importance of Iago Aspas's return and confidence in coach Claudio Giráldez. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/celta-de-vigo-players-express-confidence-ahead-of-juventus-match ### 2026-09-28: Celta de Vigo expects full stadium for Europa League match against Juventus Celta de Vigo is nearing a full capacity at Balaídos for its upcoming Europa League match against Juventus, with tickets almost entirely sold out. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/celta-de-vigo-expects-full-stadium-for-europa-league-match-against-juventus --- Cite as: Celta de Vigo Europa League campaign and injury status.
