The psychological thriller ‘Primetime’, starring and produced by Robert Pattinson, has faced varying regulatory responses in Asian markets.

In India, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted the film an ‘A’ certificate following mandated edits. These changes included the removal of seven seconds of frontal nudity, the muting of two obscene words, and the addition of an adult-content warning regarding sensitive themes and disturbing visual material.

In contrast, the Malaysian Film Censorship Board (LPF) banned the film from theatrical release. Local distributor Antenna Entertainment confirmed the cancellation of the release, which had been rescheduled to October 8, though the specific reasons for the ban were not disclosed.
