Various sporting and community events in the Czech Republic are being organized to raise funds for social causes, families in need, and medical treatments.

In late August and early September 2026, initiatives included charity runs in Klatovy and Litoměřice. The Klatovy event, ‘Chariťák’, aimed to assist three families with children and one adult, while the ‘Run for Foster Families’ in Litoměřice sought to fund tutoring for children in foster care.

Regional activities have expanded to include specialized medical support. In Větřkovice, a triathlon featuring races for various age groups includes a charity component to help a family purchase a specialized double stroller for twins with multisystem disorders. In Zderaz, the EMAS Extraliga firefighting competition concluded with a water collection contest to raise funds for a firefighter from Žamberka undergoing cancer treatment. The competition was won by the Letohrad–Kunčice team in both men’s and women’s categories.

In the South Bohemian region, the second annual Běho-chod event in Dražice drew over 200 walkers and 99 runners, resulting in a 74,100 CZK donation to the P3tule Foundation to support children battling oncological diseases. Additionally, the ‘Sportem proti rakovině’ (Sport Against Cancer) run supported the oncology department at Strakonice Hospital. This event, which featured military equipment demonstrations from the 25th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, allowed donors to contribute to patient treatment via QR codes. According to Tomáš Fiala, director of Strakonice Hospital, the oncology ward treated 804 patients between January and mid-September 2026, with 267 new diagnoses reported.
