Musical productions of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, based on the book by Roald Dahl, have been launched in different regions.

In Sweden, the Göteborgsoperan premiered a production featuring a Swedish translation of the original rhyming texts, with a scheduled run through April 12, 2025. 

In the United Kingdom, the Curve theatre in Leicester announced a production scheduled to run from November 21, 2026, to January 16, 2027. This production, directed by Nikolai Foster, includes a cast featuring Jonny Fines as Willy Wonka and a community company of over 20 young people from the East Midlands.
