Chess activities in the region have seen increased cooperation and competitive organization. In September, the chess cadet representatives of Serbia and Republika Srpska held their first official match for players under 14 years old in Banja Luka. Nemanja Šipka, President of the Chess Federation of Republika Srpska, characterized the match as “a new beginning for high-level cooperation between the two federations.”

By October, the focus shifted to the Serbian Chess Super League in Vrnjačka Banja. The tournament involves 23 clubs, including 12 men’s and 11 women’s teams, competing for the national championship. The event features several members of the Serbian national team and is supported by the Super Foundation.
