Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has initiated efforts to advance the state’s sports sector through strategic planning and major event hosting.

Following a meeting with the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association to discuss strategies for promoting sporting activities, the state government moved toward practical implementation. This included the inauguration of the Nava Raipur Open 2026 golf championship by the Chief Minister and Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) President Kapil Dev.

These actions are part of the Mukhyamanti Khel Utkarsh Mission, an initiative aimed at transforming Chhattisgarh into a premier sports destination.
