In Anambra State, authorities arrested two women for distinct crimes. One woman was apprehended in Obosi for allegedly torturing her seven-year-old daughter with a hot knife. In Edo State, police arrested two men for child-related offenses. One suspect was apprehended in Jattu for the alleged defilement of his six-year-old stepdaughter. Another individual, a self-styled prophet, was arrested for the alleged abduction of five girls between September 2025 and April 2026.
