In late July 2026 the Chilean government announced several new investments aimed at improving public health and living conditions in vulnerable regions. The Los Lagos regional ministry launched a $20 million Healthy Environments Fund to support projects such as physical‑activity workshops, school and community gardens, and health‑education campaigns for the most at‑risk households.
