The Chilean Chamber of Deputies unanimously approved a government-led project to accelerate the regularization of small real estate properties in areas impacted by natural disasters. 

The initiative, which moves to the Senate, modifies Decree Law No. 2,695 to create an extraordinary, free, and expedited mechanism for victims. This measure aims to address current administrative delays of approximately 18 months that often prevent disaster-affected families from accessing reconstruction aid and state subsidies. Deputy Juan Carlos Beltrán Silva stated the project intends to ensure families do not face “a second tragedy due to bureaucratic delays.”
