Various regions in Chile have initiated processes for their 2026 Regional Awards for Art, Culture, and Heritage.

In the Atacama Region, the Ministerial Secretariat has introduced a new format for the awards, transitioning from commune-based applications to a system featuring nine specific categories. These categories include Visual Arts, Music, Performing Arts, Historical Heritage, Regional Emerging Art, Traditional/Popular Culture, Literary Creation, Cultural Management, and Artistic and Heritage Education.

In the Valparaíso Region, nominations are being accepted across five categories: artistic education, artistic career, emerging artist, cultural management and dissemination, and the revitalization of traditional practices and trades. Winners in this region are slated to receive two million pesos and an artwork by visual artist Gonzalo Ilabaca.
