# ChileAtiende virtual service center expansion

The Social Security Institute (IPS) ChileAtiende is expanding its network of Virtual Service Centers to increase state coverage in rural and remote areas. 

In Retiro, a new center was inaugurated to facilitate rapid local administrative procedures, specifically to assist elderly residents by reducing the need for travel. This expansion brought the total number of communes offering the service to 15. 

Following this, a 16th center was established in Putaendo. Located at the Community Development Directorate, this center utilizes assisted video calls to allow citizens to complete over 60 different state procedures, preventing the need for residents to travel up to 16 kilometers to San Felipe.
